Todays art is a bit of a test sketch. This is the original art piece that I used to create Angie with. And there is one of the Castle Crashers in the corner. Yay!
Well, at least one person requested my art be turned into wallpaper. Thats all I need :) , so here you go:

Full Frame and Widescreen
When I was in El Paso I got to hang out with my sister for a while. She is now 17 and sharp as a knife and demands respect everywhere she goes. At the same time however, she has a cheerful disposition that can light up any room that she enters.
My little sister makes me smile.
When I was younger, I had a large hand in helping raise sister. My dad largely put food on our table, but wasn’t really the kind of father who would play ball with us or anything like that. In fact he wouldn’t do anything for us, he would rather watch ourselves bump our heads and help out only when really needed. Kind of a trial by error parenting, and it made me the self reliant person I am today.
Still, my dad and sister really didn’t establish a relationship till later in her life. So I was basically the man in her life for a long time. All of us (my three brothers and I) parted advice on her, but I feel as though I was the one she connected most to. Early on I found that she had the most stand offish attitude ever. As early as three I recall having shouting matches with her because she thought she was right.
And I wonder to myself now, what the hell was I doing arguing with a three year old?
Still, I learned there is no forcing her to do anything. Tell her to do something and she would just ignore me. So I stopped that. Instead I just told her my opinion on things and that’s all. When she got into myspace back in the day I told her which guys I did not like. I never told her not to talk to them; I just told her I didn’t like them and the reason why.
Soon enough, I’d see the boy disappear from her myspace page a few weeks later.
She learned EARLY on what boys were after. She would tell me about guys that would hit on her and tell her flat out that they are the guy that she should be with. She told me she knew of at least 30 boys that liked her and each try to spit game at her in various ways. But she knew for most of the guys, she was just a target: let’s see who can get her. So she ignored them and is now dating a nice guy that I approve of, and even kind of like.
While in El Paso I visited her while she was working. She was serving people and looked like a young adult. She walked around confident and smart, and nothing seemed to get to her no matter how busy the place got.
She smiled at me once while I watched and it just occurred to me how much of a trip it was to see her being an adult. I walked this kid to school in the morning and picked her up after school everyday till the 6th grade. I remember in kindergarten her holding my hand, well, my finger when walking home and telling me about what she did that day.
Now, she is a level headed young woman with confidence and charisma to spare. I’m proud of her. She is going to be a fine woman when she grows up even more. I look at her, and I think to myself that hey, my family did a good job raising the stinky brat. She really is the best of us.
They really do grow up so fast.
